Rolling Stones Officially Announce 50th Anniversary Tour

Keith Richards let it slip months ago that the Rolling Stones may be going on tour to celebrate their 50th anniversary and ever since, people haven’t stopped talking about it. Now, you can keep on talking as the Stones have officially announced that they are going on tour, and they’ve even released some dates. There are only four so far, but 50 years deserves a lot of celebration, so more dates are sure to be added soon.

The four dates that have been announced so far for the “50 & Counting…The Rolling Stones Live” tour are: November 25 and 29 at the O2 Arena in London; and December 13 and 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The band announced on the tour and the first dates on their official website saying shows will be “a truly must see and hear experience, with integral video screens and effects enhancing the sort of high-octane adventure for which the band’s concerts have been famous for decades.”

While this is all the band has said officially about the tour, there’s a lot of speculation already about what fans can expect. It’s been said that the Stones are currently practicing about 60 songs, all to be played at the shows. The music is also thought to be a collection of their newest music off their album “Doom and Gloom,” and classic hits such as “Beast of Burden,” “Paint it Black,” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
