Nine Inch Nails has a new album and new tour lined up that should keep new and old fans alike very happy. The band, fronted by Trent Reznor, will be touring all across the United States throughout the rest of 2013 before they head to New Zealand and Australia with Queens of the Stone Age.

Fans know that Reznor is the main man — and the only actual official member — of the band. Of course, when he tours, he does have an entire band come out with him in order to perform some of the complex, and some might say sonically odd, songs in his repertoire. Some of the best known songs from NIN include “Wish”, “Gave Up”, “Only”, and “Head Like a Hole”.

Reznor and his music are not without controversy. In the early 90s, he rented the house at 10050 Cielo Drive, which many people know was the home where Sharon Tate and friends met their end at the hands of members of Charlie Manson’s Family. He claimed that he had no idea it was the same house, but he did call his studio Le Pig. The word pig was written on the one of the doors in the home when the Manson Family committed the murders. Reznor actually took the door with him when he left, right before the house was demolished. Reznor is also the man who discovered and produced another one of the other “shock rockers” that remains an enduring force today — Marilyn Manson. They actually filmed their video “Gave Up” in the living room where the initial attacks took place.

Despite what one might think about Reznor on a personal level, few can deny his musical talent and influence. In fact, some of that controversy is actually what many people find alluring about him and his music. When you go to see a NIN show, you are going to see more than just a concert. Justin Timberlake is a man of many talents. While many people believe that he got his start in show business with his group ‘N Sync, he was actually performing for quite a bit longer. In 2007, he stopped focusing on music and started focusing on acting. In the beginning, some were reticent about his chance of success, but he was able to prove the critics wrong. He’s been in a number of different types of films including Friends with Benefits, The Social Network, In Time, Black Snake Moan, and Bad Teacher. He was also the voice of Boo Boo in the Yogi Bear movie. Of course, some of his most famous roles were the times he hosted Saturday Night Live. His turns on the show certainly proved that he was a good comedic actor. He even expressed interest recently in playing The Riddler in a Batman film if ever given the chance.

Of course, he could not stay away from music for too long. In January of 2013, he announced his return to music and his album, The 20/20 Experience, which he had been working on for nearly a year, dropped on March 19. Timberlake also has yet another studio album releasing this year. Called The 20/20 Experience: Part 2 of 2, the album will release on September 30, 2013.

13 is the first studio album from Black Sabbath that features Ozzy Osbourne on vocals since 1978. The songs have a great feel that’s a meld of the modern and the old, and none feel like retreads. Are all of the songs outstanding? As with most albums, some songs are better than others are. Overall, it is a strong album though. Most fans embrace the album and are happy to see that Osbourne, Iommi, Butler, and new drummer Brad Wilk are touring.

What will the new shows hold? You can expect to hear some of the popular songs from the new album, such as “Is God Dead?”. However, Black Sabbath will likely pull out quite a few of those old classics as well. Some of the songs that will probably be in the set list include “Iron Man”, “War Pigs”, “Paranoid”, and “N.I.B.”. The band wants to highlight their new album, but they know how important it is to appease the fans who come to hear the hits.

Will Black Sabbath tour again? Will they come out with another album? Ozzy has a solo career, and everyone else in the band is busy with their own solo careers. When Kelly Clarkson became engaged to Brandon Blackstock earlier this year, she admitted that, while she was with the love of her life, she worried about what it would do to her creatively. That’s what she’s done with this track that’s been confirmed to be the first released off her upcoming album.

Every year after “American Idol” has filmed its last episode and a winner has been declared, the remaining top ten contestants embark on a tour. Typically it travels all over the United States and takes up most of the summer. And tickets are sold months ahead of time, typically when the show is at its peak ratings, just before the winner is announced. All was on track to go the same way this year, until producers were forced to cancel the first ten shows altogether.

The question people are asking now, is why? Especially those who have already purchased tickets for those ten dates from June 29 — July 14. A spokesperson for the tour released a statement stating,

“Due to production scheduling changes, the American Idol 2013 tour will now begin on July 19 and go through the summer until August 31. The Idols look forward to performing in 30 venues across the country.”

What the spokesperson fails to mention is what exact ‘production scheduling changes’ were necessary. And that’s led many to believe that there were no changes at all; except that the television show did surprisingly badly this year, and drew in some of its lowest ratings ever.

What do you do when you’re an international mega-singer and, after having just had a baby, you don’t want to travel but you do still want to perform? Take up a residency in Vegas, of course! That’s just the predicament that Adele is currently faced with, and it’s one that she’s not only considering, but that would make a lot of sense.

It was in October of 2011 that Adele had to cancel a bunch of tour dates after continual vocal cord hemorrhages risked significant and permanent damage to her voice. She had only been back on the glamor circuit performing for less than a year when she gave birth to her baby boy and announced that she was going to focus on motherhood, although she wasn’t taking a hiatus. At the time she said she was still going to be working on her third album, but that she wouldn’t be touring until at least after its release.

Now, Adele and her fans may have the best of both worlds, as it’s rumored that the British soul singer is headed to Vegas for a residency there.

“Adele is at the top of the Vegas hit list, and she’s seriously considering it as an option,” MTV reported. “She wants to get back to performing but doesn’t want to go on the road so soon after becoming a mum. A Las Vegas residency would mean she could settle in with her family and record her third album all at once.”

Adele has reportedly already started on plans for both. Back in April OK! Magazine reported that she was back in the studio already recording her third album; and it’s also been said that she’s talking to Elton John about doing a residency — someone who’s no stranger to it himself. According to those reports, Sir Elton has highly encouraged Adele to take the residency, and to start performing again.

Back in January Beyonce delighted fans by announcing that she was going to be releasing a new album, and that it would be called Mrs. Carter. After her powerful Super Bowl performance (that did not blow the power out in the Superdome,) she announced that there would also be a tour to go along with it. Following in the footsteps of artists before her, as well as her past studio albums, fans were led to believe that the album would be out before the tour began. Now though, Bey is on the road; and there’s still no new album among their playlists. So, where is Beyonce’s album?

At first the singer announced that the album may be delayed because she was having a hard time finding a “killer lead track” to release. But months later, two tracks have been released — Nuclear, as well as Bow Down/I Been On — and they were incredibly different from Beyonce’s typical style. And fans didn’t like it. Claiming different things, such as the fact that she sounded much angrier than she has on albums past; and that the style resembled Rihanna’s too much.

And according to an insider, the fact that those two songs fell flat are the reason for the delay on the album as a whole.

“No one thought that both records would fall flat,” says the anonymous source. “They were supposed to be her biggest two songs off the album. It’s back to the drawing board. More recording until they get a great album.”

So who knows how long that could be. The good news for fans going to see Beyonce as she travels around on her world tour is that they might be the very first ones to hear some new music!

Beyonce will start her summer tour on June 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where she’ll also be performing on July 1. In between, Beyonce will be taking a trip up to Las Vegas to play at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Beyonce Knowles-Carter will then head out on a tour that runs until August, when she wraps it up with three straight shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. In between, Beyonce will perform in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Canada, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, New Jersey, North Carolina, Washington D.C. and Connecticut.

While Knowles-Carter hasn’t released an album since 2011, with her last single dropping in 2012, she still has plenty of big hits to perform. Those include 2009’s “Halo,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Ego,” and “Run the World (Girls).”

Beyonce’s most recent number one hit on the United States chart was “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” back in 2008. She also hit the number three spot that year with “If I Were a Boy.”

Other number one hits include “Irreplaceable,” “Check on It,” “Baby Boy,” and “Crazy in Love.” Expect Knowles-Carter to perform all of those along with other top hits, such as “Déjà vu,” “Ring the Alarm,” “Get Me Bodied,” and “Diva.”

Knowles-Carter has won a total of 17 Grammy Awards, which leaves her beyond only Alison Krauss and Aretha Franklin for the most decorated female artist in the history of the Grammys. She’s also been nominated for Best Actress by the Golden Globe Awards, for her work in Dreamgirls.
