Check out the Duo of Donny and Marie Osmond in Vegas
The names Donny and Marie go together like chocolate and peanut butter. They are great on their own, but they are perfect together. The brother and sister Osmond duo have been performing together for decades. They come from a family of performers, and they had their first television show together, called Donny & Marie, in 1976. It ran from ’76 to ’79. This was a variety show that featured dancing, singing, skits, and much more. The second iteration of the show, which ran from ’98 to 2000, was quite a bit different — it was a talk show and about as far from their old show as they could get.
Today, they’ve gone back to their entertaining roots though with their Las Vegas show, which they perform at The Flamingo. The show, which started in 2008, is a powerhouse of pure entertainment that lasts 90 minutes. It features music, dancing, and more. The show is a phenomenal retrospective on their careers together and solo, and attendees will be able to enjoy all of the great songs they know and love from the Osmond siblings. Some of the songs you will hear when you see Donny and Marie include “Puppy Love”, “Soldier of Love”, “Paper Roses”, and “A Beautiful Life”. You will also hear some songs from Marie’s solo career, including a cover of Aerosmith’s song “Walk this Way”.
The music you know and love is great, but they do more than just take the stage and sing their hits. They are true entertainers at heart, and they really will put on a show for you. They received an award for being the best performers in Las Vegas in 2012. The duo looks great and sounds great, and fans will love the show from the first song to the last.
If you are coming to Las Vegas and you are a big fan of Donny and Marie, you can’t miss the chance to see them live! Make sure you get your tickets soon so you can see them in action. Seeing them perform is a fun experience you will not forget soon.
Cirque du Soleil Brings New Show to Vegas!
Cirque du Soleil is known for putting death-defying stunts and acrobatic twists and turns on some of the best music known today. But now that “Zarkana” has taken up residency in Las Vegas, you now have a chance to see all of it, and take in a good romance story all at the same time.
Music is still a huge part of the show, but it won’t be a soundtrack of The Beatles or Michael Jackson that you’re listening to. Instead, listen closely to the lyrics that magician, Zark, is crooning. This is where the story lies, as he sings about losing his magical powers, along with his lover; and the desperation that he carries with him trying to find each. Of course, that’s just part of it.
With any Cirque du Soleil show you expect to get those inspiring (and unbelievable) trapeze artists, acrobats, and contortionists, and you’ll see them all here, too. All the performers prance and dance around the stage, around a huge net of ropes that has been designed to slightly resemble a spider’s web. This structure allows for the performers to take full advantage of every corner of the stage, and gives them the props they need to perform all of those fantastic feats.
And while some theater-goers may just be hearing about “Zarkana” for the first time, it’s a show that’s been around for a while now. It debuted at Radio City Music Hall in the summer of 2011 before moving on to places like Madrid and Moscow. The show spent this past summer back at Radio City before moving to Las Vegas.
The good news for Cirque fans though is that here it will take up residency at the Aira Resort & Casino, meaning it can be seen over and over again!
Enjoy the Real Magic of Hypnotiq
There is so much to do and see in Las Vegas that it can almost be overwhelming. The short list is of course to play the slots and games in the famous casinos, eat at some of the top rated restaurants, stay in the lavish hotels, and have a few too many drinks and get married by Elvis. Wait, scratch that last one. And of course while you are in Vegas you have to check out some of the shows. One that is sure to make for a memorable trip is Hypnotiq.
The men behind the show are Michael Johns and Terry Stokes. Hypnotism and comedy are on the menu, as are free drinks at the open bar. All you can drink means this is a 21+ adult show only, so don’t bring the kids to this one! It can get raunchy pretty quick too, so it may not be for the super sensitive, but really that is only part of the hilarity.
Imagine watching your husband perform a routine to Britney Spears, or watch your date make out with a chair on stage! They choose participants from the audience every night, and make non-believers believe. The good news is that you can purchase a tape of the show so that when your husband doubts what you tell him when it is all over, you will have the video proof to show him!
Currently the show is performed nightly at 9pm in The Lounge at the Harmon Theater. This can be found near the Planet Hollywood Hotel. There aren’t a lot of details to give away, as every show is unique. So grab some of the house wine, a mug of beer, and watch the funny men Johns and Stokes, do their thing. This show is not only amazing to see, but it could be considered a workout, as your abs are sure to be tired by the end of it from laughing so hard.
Find discount tickets online, and book before you go, especially on weekends, to ensure you have a seat to one of the funniest shows on the strip!
